3.0 University Place demonstrates Community Commitment and being a good neighbor in collaboration with Paul Robeson High School for Cafeteria Renovation!

When UPA began developing the "Platinum Corridor" and 3.0 University Place, they made a focused commitment to serve as a steward and good neighbor to the community. 🏙️🤝🏘️ And so, in partnership with UPA and TSP, MDSA was pleased to work together with Paul Robeson High School and renovate their student cafeteria, located directly across the street from our 3.0 University Place project.👷‍♀️🏫👷Equipped with new floors, ceiling tiles, and bright new furniture, we gathered with political leaders, students, community advocates, and the 3.0 University Place site team to cut the ribbon in celebration of this powerful community partnership. Paul Robeson HS was slated to close in 2013, but under Principal Richard Gordon’s leadership, PRHS remained open and was later recognized in 2017 as Most Improved High School in Philadelphia. Gordon is nationally recognized for his educational leadership as 3-time PA Principal of the Year among several other well-deserved, high-profile accolades. He is passionately dedicated to his students and was eager to partner with us on this cafe redesign...in fact, even included the students in the design process with TSP Architects. The community circle on this renovation was tight-knit from start to finish and we hope a collaboration like this continues to inspire others in University City of what is possible. This is what a community in construction development can truly look like when private & public partnerships come together. 🤝❤️🤝
