Elmwood Park Zoo Parking Lot Expansion

Norristown, PA

Project consisted of a new 234-space, 100,000 sq. ft. parking lot expansion to service the ever-expanding visitor demand at the Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown, Pennsylvania. The site involved many design challenges to overcome, including construction on an existing slope, near wetlands and adjacent to a stream and associated floodplains, all while maintaining the use of the existing site parking facilities.

The project required coordination with the Municipality, County and State for permitting and review of the project design.
