FLYBY FRIDAY ALERT! After last week's wonderland of snowfall ❄ ❄ ❄ , Batman flew over to the site at NewCourtland @ St. Barts Apartments Phase 2 in Northeast Philadelphia to check out the latest progress. The exterior metal panels are mostly complete and the first four floors are beginning flooring installs and paint finishes. Cabinets arrive next week along with appliances and spring will soon be upon us to complete the finishing touches. 📢 Shout out to The Gillespie Group, Inc. who recently completed pouring the underlayment gypsum concrete with top quality precision, it was a pleasure to partner with you. 🤝 St. Barts Apartments will soon add 48 one-bedroom apartments to offer for seniors along with convenient covered parking and supportive space. MBC is Pleased to Share the Completion of Project Hotel AKA Alexandria

As we kick off 2024, MBC is eager to showcase the beautiful photos of the transformational renovations at Hotel AKA Alexandria in the Old Towne section of Alexandria, VA. The inviting 193,000 square foot space was converted from a national-chain hotel to a fresh, "boutiquey", modern appeal with it's sleek finishes and minimalist style. Recently completed, this 180-room extended stay hotel now boasts luxury amenities throughout for its guests - a new lobby with whimsical art, a top of the line bar/lounge, tranquil meeting spaces, a cinema 🎥 , an exclusive coffee shop ☕ , an extensive fitness area and more. We are proud to partner once again with Korman Communities on this exquisite build and we are very grateful for their lasting partnership throughout the years. Check back in tomorrow for some metamorphic "before and afters"🤝

Batman Makes His Way Over to 400 West Elm for Another FlyBy Friday

Batman 🦇 was back up in the skies on this beautiful fall Friday at the 400 West Elm jobsite in Conshohocken, PA. 🏗 A boatload of activities are happening onsite as the front facade nears completion on the north side of the building; this should be complete in 1-2 more weeks. Paving is planned to begin next week at the south side parking garage and the landscaping touches are beginning...talk about curb appeal! But that's not all...amenity spaces are wrapping up - the pool, the speakeasy lounge, golf simulator, and courtyard just to name a few. So far, temporary Certificates of Occupancy have been issued for the amenity spaces & 4th floor as renters prep for move 12/1...just in time for the holiday season.

Thank you Revolution Recovery for hosting MBC’s SQP July Meeting!

This month, our SQP Education Committee arranged a staff field trip to Revolution Recovery in NE Philly for a site tour to get an up close look into their waste management & recycling sorting facility. Revolution Recovery receives 500-600 tons of scrap and waste each day at their primary hub in Philly and recently expanded their sorting facilities to Newark, DE and Allentown, PA. MBC has been partnering with Revolution Recovery or "RR" since 2010 and we are proud of our combined accomplishments of diverting significant percentages of construction waste from landfills to recycling centers, regardless of LEED or funding requirements. We also got to learn about RR's RAIR program (Recycled Artists in Residency) - a residency program that provides artists with a studio space to produce one-of-a-kind meaningful art with on-site access to recovered materials. We ended the morning with some delicious lunch from Sweet Lucy’s just down the street. Batman soars over 400 W. Elm jobsite to capture Cranetastic work!

Batman took to the skies to document the crane-tastic work at the 400 West Elm jobsite in Conshy. With careful safety precautions in place, the team was able to make the most of what was anticipated to be a two-day crane pick all in ONE DAY! Huge kudos and thanks to the trades and teams onsite to make this happen. It’s no small feat, but it was a successful operation installing 36 condensing units, 3 ERU’s, and 2 stair pressurization fans. Batman was thrilled to be our eyes in the sky to capture such a tremendous milestone. Batman soars over 3.0 University Place Site for one incredible SIGHT for Flyby Friday

What would Friday be without a visit from Batman, our trusty drone and eyes in the sky? Today’s Flyby Friday features the beloved 3.0 University Place on Market Street in University City. This remarkable LEED & WELL Platinum Certified Lab Building is finishing up nicely to add to the picturesque landscape of the Platinum Corridor. Batman caught quite the “view” of the innovative VIEW Smart Glass (no blinds, heat, or glare) surrounding the exterior of the building. 3.0 University Place wouldn’t be possible without MBC’s strategic alliance with Dale Corp. (MDSA)...congratulations to all! More to come as we approach completion in the coming weeks.

All this talk about the weekend makes us think it’s about time for a Flyby Friday! Batman the Drone flew on over to Conshohocken to visit our 400 West Elm jobsite. Things may look a little different since you last saw the impressive 13-story luxury apartment complex – you’ll notice all the exterior wall panels are COMPLETE! Interior drywall finishes on the lower floors have officially started on the 348 units, making this beautiful build one step closer to completion this fall. Three stormwater basins in the back are complete, and we’re prepping for paving. The chill in the air reminds us that fall is here and it’s time to let Batman, the Drone, out to spread his “wings”. 🦇📸🦇 For today’s Flyby Friday, Batman swooped over the 400 W. Elm jobsite in West Conshohocken to take a peek at the progress. The 445,000+ square foot 348-unit ultra-luxury residential apartment complex is well under way! Steel is about fully erected and precast planking is allmmooost done on 10 floors of the 13 story building. Exterior panels, interior layouts and MEP rough-in has officially started on floors 1-3 with more incredible work yet to come. 🙌 Batman is looking forward to sharing more progress at this tremendous site soon – and we are too! Maybe even a glimpse of steel topping off in our future?!? 😏🏗😏

TGIFF everybody…Thank Goodness it’s Flyby Friday! 🙌🤩🙌 Today we’re flying high in the sky over at 41st and Market in Philadelphia to take a peek at 3.0 University Place. 📸🚁📸This incredible site will become 250,000+ sq. ft. of Class A, commercial lab and office space tailored for tenants in the biotech and R&D community later this year. MDSA, McDonald Dale Strategic Alliance, started construction on this 8-story build early this summer and soon enough this amenity-rich site will feature ground floor retail, a 16,000 sq. ft. green roof mezzanine, LED lighting, a chilled beam heating & cooling system, and a high-performance building envelope including VIEW Smart Glass (no blinds, heat or glare). Set to complete in October, these phased rehab units were meticulously coordinated to minimize the day-to-day impact on residents. If you like Timelapse Tuesday, then you’re gonna love Flyby Friday! 🤩🙌🤩 To kickoff Flyby Friday and end the week on an extra awesome note, we’re heading over to Peg’s Place in Philadelphia as the team is wrapping up the plush green roof. This 4-story energy-efficient building will provide affordable residential apartments to empower adults to break the cycle of chronic homelessness and addiction.
